As well as adding a lot more content, we have increased the supporting toolkit significantly:

Problem Definition. These tools help you understand your problem or situation more clearly. It is important to have a thorough understanding of the problem before searching for solutions.
Creativity. These tools are designed to broaden the mind when searching for solutions. Great for “out of the box” thinking for new ideas.
Lessons Learned. This is a database of best practices and lessons learned for the decommissioning sector. It has been collated from a worldwide review, and is updated regularly, both by us and by our users. It supports the technology catalogs by including “softer” issues.

1 BLISS

The Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) ran a sort and segregation competition a couple of years ago and this (plus others) are developing nicely. It demonstrates that there are a lots of approaches to solving this particular problem. #AI, #Sort & Segregation

2 Eve (iBotics)

This was one of the finalists at the ANA Avatar XPRIZE. Held in Long Beach, California, we were lucky enough to attend and see some great implementation of teleoperation technology. 3 SPOT

This was in first place in 2020 and 2021 but has dropped to number three this year. That said, it has had a lot of content added and is fast becoming ubiquitous! 2021 The entry in the Idea Catalog has a wide range of use cases and some fascinating videos.

This robot was labelled one of best 200 inventions of 2022 by Time Magazine. In April, it completed a survey of a radioactive ventilation duct below a disused laboratory at the Dounreay nuclear complex. #RAIN Hub, #Dounreay

This flexible arm is designed for inspection and maintenance in restricted access locations. It is one of the Gamechangers projects (Sellafield’s innovation programme) and was successfully deployed on an active plant at Sellafield in September. #Sellafield, #FIS360 Gamechangers
